A standard two-seater buggy back in April, 1981

A view of wife and my older two nippers at the lower end of the Rec.
I recall having two of these bolted together with those connectors. At times we had a carry-cot body on one making a pram, simple compact and practical.
How compact these were compared with the 'tanks' seen so often nowadays. No wonder people moan about getting them onto buses, into cars etc. and sharing space with them.

That's what I say to my daughter but she says she prefers what she knows so fair enough. One thing I don't like about most of the modern ones is that they are 3-wheelers, something that doesn't help balance-wise when you have to go over a kerb. Another, as you imply, is their weight.
