As things were the promenade

Back in the good old days. This delightful pictures shows the promenade still in good use. Probably 1950's.

I think it may be more late 1940's, The Belisha beacon, like the one in the background was introduced in 1934. Is this one of the knockdown photographs taken by an itinerent photographer and posted to the subject in the photo.

Mayhaps identifying the lampost type my give a rough date?
 
@Duffy. Not sure how the photo was taken. I'll see Ian in the week and try to get a date out of him.
 
The lady with the two kids looks like someone from Treneere whose name I don't know. I wonder if she's a forebear of that person, duffy? Looks like 1940s to me, but I may well be a decade out in either direction.
