Bryher Patch - 14

Passing the south tip of Tresco at Long Crow, where we enter Tresco Fats, where, at low tide, water can be barely 1 foot deep in places. Knowledge of the waters is essential, to be able to pick a way through the sand beds, the weed beds, and the rocks, and so aften requires very slow ahead deviations of route.
My great grandfather always was proud of the fact that he could walk, at low tide, between the islands Tresco, Bryher, Samson, Tean and St Martin's, but the route was something that had to be learned the hard way. The sand beds are different and the water depths different now.
