Carn Gort - 5April2010

Way to the English Heritage site which contains Faugen Round, believed to be an Iron-Age bi-vallete hill fort (meaning two ditches). It is believed to have been built between 500 BC and 0AD. The two outer walls can still be seen, these would have formed the rampart defences of an historic village made of roundhouses and under the leadership of a local nobleman.
