Chysauster courtyard house

Chysauster for those of you who don't know, is about a mile or two along a road off Badger's Cross. The basic house plan within the settlement which dates from about the first four centuries AD, is an open courtyard with a round living-room opposite the entrance with a long narrow room along one side wall, but most houses have extra rooms and can be quite complex.
