There appear to be 5 or so other steamers in the bay, and a barque right of centre; This is looking over Sandy Cove, that became Jubilee Pool, that is the old pathway down to the diving platform placed there in 1897.
Having listed out the three ships of that name, I wonder if it could be the first Lynton Grange? I also wonder if this the assembly of one of the WWI Convoys that ran from Penzance to France? If so this is an extremely rare picture. I will need to check some details and other pictures. The interesting fact is that it does not appear in Steam Coasters or Steam Collier Fleets. I have assembled an ON list, so can check it out.
Definitely not Lynton Grange (1912); have found a picture of her sister ships, also not carrying Houlder Bros funnel markings, I can barely make out the bands, and I will check the funnel book I have. Lynton 1881 was closed register 1899; Lynton 1890 was closed register 1898; Lynton 1899 no further information yet.
