Cannons, St Michael's Mount - 18May10

Were not some French cannons re-appropriated from the Mount by some young French sailors back in the 1960's?? Though they were returned at a later date.

I haven't heard that tale; any more details on it?

trepolpen has mentioned the event in previous uploads, 'In comparatively recent times, a French yacht and its crew stole one of the cannons on St Michael's Mount overnight, I am told.' on 'Hands Up'

I think that's right. It's the way I heard it!
