As an aside, but in the realm of building structures, has anyone seen the article about the forthcoming bandstand and cafe on the Western Promenade?

I saw it briefly, and it looked terrible from what I saw.

I think this will look like St Austell Station when it is finished. It is time that designers were given lessons in aesthetics and good taste. Everything that I have seen for the improvement of amenities on the Promenade are nothing short of cr@p, and it is all rather pointless, in view of the lack of care being paid to the structure that actually supports any scheme, in the smoky halucinatory mind of the designers . I reckon a 6 year old schoolchild could do better. Other towns have relied on producing real architecture or even a Victorian copy, what is wrong with our visionless authorities.
