But surely, treeve, you must be the only person in Pz worrying about the effect on the base of the wall, when we have any kind of rough weather?

True, so true, but like King Knut, I am fully aware that nature has the upper hand. We have some wonderful ideas as to the improvement of facilities to the Promenade, but alas no plans to improve its structure, nor any plans to ameliorise the effects of the sea. Meanwhile there are plans laid at the feet of the almighty (or that is what they think they are) as to the destruction of the sea wall and ancient pier and so on to provide a shelter that no one needs for a ship that is unnecessary. Good to see the priorities have been carefully considered and bubble sorted to that meaningless nirvana. While we do have the sea wall, let s make the best of it - the wind was a bit tame for my liking ... bring it on. ::6:
