I would say a lot earlier than the 50's..clue..isnt the guy leaning on the wallof the Prince of Wales pub ???

Not sure on the pub but the Ford on the right looks to be a popular or prefect model from the late 1940s.

West Penwith Resources : "Prince of Wales East Street. 1823 J. Edwards. Market Jew Street. 1830 John Bamfield. East Street. 1844 David Eddy Stevens. 109 Market Jew Street. 1856 Thomas Geach. 1873 J. Harvey. 1883 Eli Winter. 1893 Nicholas Mulcahy. 1919 John Uren." East Street now Market Jew Street.

I have been looking through my old directories, not mentioned specifically in Jack Pengelly as to closure date, but clues may be obtained througn construction of the new building of Nr 109. F W Woolworths was 106 up to 108.

Just noticed the lamp post and I seem to remember that I had asked before as to the date of these, on the Promende I think.
