SV Minnehaha

Wrecked on the Scillies in 1874

Minnnehaha was a four masted barque, she was on course from Peru to Dublin via Flamouth, with guano; she was wrecked on Peninnis Point, St Mary s in fog. She was 845 tons; half the crew managed to climb up the bowsprit to reach the cliff, some had to jump from the jib-boom. The rest of the men were lost and drowned.
