The cliffs on a walk to Clodgy Point, St Ives

There are many examples of pillow lava along this stretch i.e. molten rock which cooled under water thousands/millions of years ago when nobody would have wanted to live in St Ives. But then there was probably nobody around then in any case and neither was St Ives! Anyway, the rocks seem to have a particular character having cooled so quickly.
