Army in Penzance - looks @ 1st World War. I think it's Penzance (it's in a Penzance envelope) - can someone confirm location. It's a Gibson and Sons photo.
A charming picture of the Terrace in the 1980's This picture was probably taken about 1989. Look there's Radio Rentals (now VodaPhone) and Currys (now Halifax)
Marine Terrace looked different in the 1890s The railings are not there today as they would have been removed during World War 2 to help make guns and weapons. This was a common practice and many buildings still havent had their railings replaced.
This is Union Terrace in the 1960's... You wont find Union Terrace in Penzance any more because it was pulled down to make way fro the brand new St Clares flats. This particular picture was taken opposite West Cornwall Hospital. Courtesy of Mrs Rose Hichens (St Clare dairy shop)
