David Clark, aged 42, from Cumbria, appeared at Truro Crown Court on Wednesday, June 20, 2010.
Clark pleaded guilty to four offences of drink driving while at the wheel of a heavy goods vehicle and also dangerous driving.
Clark was jailed for 38 weeks and disqualified from driving for five years.
The court was told that Clark was drunk in charge of a large HGV which shed its load on the A30 in Cornwall in June 2009.
