POLICE are appealing for witnesses following a fatal road accident near Redruth over the weekend.
A car and pedestrian were in collision along the New Portreath Road early on Saturday morning.
The pedestrian, thought to be in his 40s and from Portreath, died at the scene as a result of his injuries.
The car was driven by an 18-year-old local man. He and three passengers were all uninjured.
Anyone who saw the car, a grey Seat Leon Cupra, or the pedestrian before the accident is asked to ring the police on 0845 2777444, quoting log number 35/260211.
