Walking back along the Cycle Path to Penzance after an excellent sunny day in the midst of a lovely week.
Anyone around today that remembers the cafe/tea room that was once on the eastern green beach??
I believe they went by the name of Eva if my memory cells are right !!
 
If you mean the wooden hut that used to be put up by the level crossing, I remember it clearly.
 
@BoP... Eva's was a structure further along the beach towards the east,
with the onset of world war 2 and land mines put in place the beach was
closed for a number of years...the place just went into disrepair and never
replaced...I believe its foundations remained there for some time......
 
Ah, I see... the cafe I remember used to appear each summer a few yards west of Ponsandane crossing; the concrete base on which it stood remained for several years.
