Media Gallery – Picture Penzance

This postcard, dating from around 1900, shows the Mounts Bay Hotel situated at the far end of the Queens Hotel on the Penzance Promenade. At the time, both hotels were prominent landmarks overlooking Mount’s Bay, with the Mounts Bay Hotel later being acquired and incorporated into the Queens Hotel complex. The image captures a glimpse of the Victorian seaside architecture and the bustling promenade that was popular with visitors at the turn of the century.
