10th March 2008

Offshore winds fight incoming tide and waves, starting to strip the wave into spindrift.
But the curious and powerful fact was that the sea level in front of the wave was much higher than behind it.
From the Albert Pier.
Thanks .. it was worth it to struggle against the wind; I had to lock my foot around the bars at the end of the wall, as the wind was so strong, it could well have taken me into the harbour. I dread to think what it could have been if it was an onshore wind.
