Mr Thomas was always portrayed in profile because of old facial injuries,I believe he owned all the entertainment in town at one time, Gaiety at Newlyn , cafe marina,winter gardens ,pavilion,savoy and the regal ... on Empire day he would give a silver three penny piece to every school child in town
