John Martin meets up with another from Sunderland.
John Martin, the great visionary artist was from Heydon Bridge not far from Sunderland; his brother was also known to the great family of the Temperleys of Tyne and Wear, who married into Cornish families. The blue vessel is named John Martin, and has been left here after a marine accident, in strange circumstances. She was built in Ireland.
