Make sure that the picture is viewed enlarged. The mastery of colour and light is nothing less than incredible. I wonder how many of the people actually survived the dangers of non-hse railing and quays.
A few years ago missp and I were rather fortunate to get to see the original which is in a private collection. The Newlyn artists ability to portray light was a skill that is indeed incredible and rarely repeated since.
