A lovely set. Can t see too many changes from up here but there is a carpark now in between Penalverne Drive and Clarence Street that used to be St Erbyn s School field. And of course the Leisure Centre and Astropark are now both in St Clare s fields.

I m not sure when these were taken my Aunt died in 1987 so it s pre that - I would have thought mid 1970s but interested in peoples views.

I can t tell, but is the old St Clare s swimming pool there in the trees or not? I m not sure when that was built. It is of course disused now.

Three major clues, St Clare Flats, The old Fire Station is still functional, and the car park behind St Erbyns.

I have a recollection of the grounds and ticket turnstile being 1952. But when Magpies had the grandstand, and when they moved in to the old Fire Station, I will have to write to them; St Clare Flats tower was built 1965; anyone know when we acquired another carpark off Clarence Street, basically a way though from Penalverne.

The new Fire Station top of St Clare was opened for use 18th September 1976. So this picture has to be after 1965 and before 1976.

Clarence Street car park must be after 1977 as missp and I were married in St Pauls and had our photos taken in St Erbyns grounds

Nice one. thankyou. On another picture, Morrab (Pengarth) was at its first completion, which was 1972 (I believe). It was extended later. So between 1972 and 1976.

Clarence Street car park was done in the early nineties.
