This glorious cherry tree has been here for quite some years, and despite many attempts at various forms of hedging, none of which have survived, the tree has persisted. However it has been leaning badly over the last ten years, and is lifting the pavement; it will not be very long before some halfwit decides to cut it down before it causes an accident; photograph 21st April 2009, from the other side of the road.
