Ansgir Near Mousehole

Ansgir Near Mousehole 1920 - this is a Gibson - it has 1920 on the back in pencil
A large ship this one, wrecked as you say 1920; Penzer Point, of the German Merchant Marine, as surrendered to the Allies in 1918, when captured she was just new. built by AK Ges Neptune, Rostock; 6,483 tons; 438 feet long; 476 nhp engines. She was after the war registered at Glasgow; she was manned by her German crew ... on her way for Barry in water ballast, she hit bad weather, turned but was hurled onto the rocks near Mousehole. Parts of her still remain.
