Battery Rocks before the Memorial

I have a few photographs of Penzance Harbour, and this one, of Battery Rocks, taken by my second cousin's friend on her new Carbine camera , which was quite the thing, in its day. This photo dated November 1919. I do not know of any other photo of the rocks of this angle or date.

1929 description states Battery Rocks is the swimming area for men, mostly because of the excellent diving facilities, and the area much used by the ladies for bathing was at Lariggan Rocks.
