Whilst the Harbour is being demolished and our Heritage destroyed, the Railway Station is also being used as Temporary berthing for the two main ships, as the Diesel locos have now been stationed at Ponsandane, to prevent passengers from being overcome by fumes and gases. From now on ships will have to come and go over the rocks, by rail into the sea, where they will be met by the fishermen and their vessels to tow them in and out of the Bay, as they no longer have any fishing to do.
