Is there not an ordinance on the books that makes this dumping a fineable offence....disgusting to say the least

Besides the mess, there is a child s toy oven, a grass strimmer and a home work tool. I know of a European anti-dumping law, but I do not know of a domestic law. I believe that anyone that harms environment or provides a breeding ground for disease or danger deserves to be imprisoned and fined, as well as paying for the clean-up.

I find it hard to imagine there s no statutory provision for this kind of thing, but in any case, it may be difficult to prove without actually catching the culprits in the act.

It was different when housing on estates was in the hands of the local authority, especially as they had teeth and did something about it; those were the days when if you went out of line, you were out of the house. They also helped you in real ways then, it had to be said. Solid as a rock.
