Blackberries on the approach to Hayle

Yummy pic of forbidden fruit . Blackberries are regarded as weeds in Australia and have been eradicated. It s even illegal to grow them in your garden, if you are lucky enough to find a plant.

I ts true! I ve never seen fresh ones in Queensland in 27 years and I am sure the ban covers the whole country . When we fancy a blackberry tart we have to use the tinned or frozen variety. One of the things we miss, apart from clotted cream and saffron cake.
