Boundary Stone - Sheffield

Boundary Stone - Sheffield
This stone is a hundred yards down Old Quarry Lane.
'Penzance' is barely visible.
At least it is still here.
These stones should be more carefully maintained.
The stone at Mousehole is not to be found, it should be a couple of hundred yards from the bottom of Raginnis Hill towards Kemyel.
The re-defined boundaries of Penzance were discussed and proposals were made in a report of 1928; eventually in 1934, stones were set.
Others are at Mousehole, Tredavoe, Tregavarah, Heamoor, Trenow and Posses Lane.
