Castor et Pollux

MFV Castor et Pollux This ex fishing boat was built in France, in 1964, and is 60ft long, with a 17’2”beam, drawing 13’4” of water. Her construction is of oak frames, with 2” oak planking to the waterline, with larch topsides. She is powered by a 500hp Cat engine, and was originally built for prawn fishing off the French coasts. She was sold away to Ireland in 1992, where the current owner bought her, in 1999, brought her to Penzance, where she is undergoing conversion for cruising.
