If you brave the dragster race that is the bypass, Just below Parc Mellan, Chyandour Brook here is crossed by a little bridge; the original was a simple stone one.
I seem to remember it as concrete rather than stone; I recall seeing it lying pretty much intact when it was removed during alterations to the course of the river necessitated by the construction of the distributor road.
Maybe my mind goes back further, my memory is of a stone bridge with an iron railing, a single bar, with three uprights. It was probably replaced with concrete when I broke the older one (not)
