Chyandour Brook

The outlet to the shore, under the railway; we knew this as three tunnels , a quick dash across the road, and on the beach, mind you the risks involved crossing the road then were minimal. The whole width was running brook, over smooth stones. Tide in or out, a quick run through the water onto the sands. The rail bridge replaced the original timber viaduct which was always at risk and suffered much damage and final loss.
