CLOSED BUT NOT FOR LONG!

It's the fastest closure and re-open I've ever seen. The Granary is back trading today after it's closure on Saturday.... just four days ago.
Are these the green shoots of recovery we are hearing about. Good news for the Granary!
I suspect that there had to be a closed business for the partnership, before an opening day for the new business?
It would get rather complex from the bureaucratic point of view otherwise, some form of stocktaking and cashing up as well as other paperwork to be done in order to transfer to another fresh set of accounts?

I suppose it would have been appropriate to put some notice on the door that referred to the re-opening of the shop rather than trying to frighten those who shop there...... still they ve been in business longer than me... who am I to question their business motives.

I thought the weigh inn was next door to the oxfam shop? to the left of the picture that you can t see?

Of course, it was Weigh Inn that started in Branwell s Granary and then moved up to Piano Paradise (now Ricardo s Pizzaria).

yes it was there for a while (Ricardo s Pizzaria).....not sure I remember it at Branwells granary....I need a memory jog for it being there... a very handy place to shop none the less, just for the amount you wish to buy ::6:
