Coastal erosion

The granite-paved area at the foot of the steps at Chyandour is looking a little precarious...
Ooh err ... hope you propped it up with the bottles provided.
This area used to be an open inlet right up to the bottom of The Coombe. It was a wide river bed. It was spanned by a double stone hump arch bridge around 1800 roughly in line with the later front of the Three Tuns, before that it was a ford. Fishing vessels were pulled up on the shore of this little village. Some cargo was landed here to avoid the harbour dues.

I didn t prop it up, but I did collect two carrier bags of discarded bottles and cans etc which I dumped in the bin across the road ;)

I have to say that of late I don t see that many bins around (not like there used to be).....there are plenty in the town but not many on the outskirts has any one found this to be the case?
