laugh# laugh# Looking at this photo has brought tears to my eyes but nice tears so proud to see my Mother on this site after so many years. Many. Many Thanks to Sean.
P.S Is it possible to obtain a copy of this photo?/

laugh# I well remember Tell Man but im not sure about Fred. What can one say about Betty?? She was a Diamond. Let us under age drinkers in the back room Playing euchre or darts.
she made sure she laid the law down though but in those days there never any trouble. Brian

Fred, was Tell s drum machine he used to start and stop it with a foot switch, he was always swearing at Fred especially when Tell himself got the settings wrong. Another colourful character lost.

If you want a pic of Tell, put his name in the Search and he ll turn up in one of my albums, standing on the pier at Mousehole with his guitar!

I also remember the Star well as I lived next door before my old home became part of the Star. It feels really funny to walk into my old lounge down the far end. We celebrated my grand daughter s Christening in that very room last year! Long before in the late 60s, I remember Ralph McTell, Derek Brimstone, Mike Chapman and Gerry Lochran being put up in our house when my brother Tim was running folk clubs in the Great Western or the Gurnard s Head etc. I also remember throwing scrumped apples out of my attic room down into the courtyard of the Star before it was joined to No1. Once, with some schoolfriends, I threw down a doorknob for good measure which gave rise to a few perplexed comments from below! ::17:::12:

::15: No1 New Street belonged to my grandmother [Ada Bottrell] I was born there during the 2nd world war I remember your family liveing there at the time i was liveing in St micheals Cottages. Now then. excuse me asking. But which one of the Knights are you?? Cheers. Brian in Geordie Land
