Can t say that I have seen any others like this ... generally F.P is footpath, but not up there, I guess. The sign looks to be quite old, the serifs are nicely formed. The figure could not represent, as it normally does, height or depth, so is probably a distance from that corner. Interesting one.
Treeve your exactly right! I was born in number 10 and was always told that the label meant the fire point. I think it was a WW2 notice. Anybody else have more accurate info? laugh# laugh#
