Like apples, pears etc, when they are ripe they fall off. First time I tasted fresh coconut milk straight off the tree, I didn t like it. Think it matures as it travels from Plantations to UK.
@ sparky. The coconuts we know and are displayed in our shops is inside the green fibrous cover as you see them in this picture. It is removed before export.
