Pavement Parking Peasgoods Revisited

A lady taxi driver helps an elderly lady with a zimmer frame from Peasgoods.
I have mixed reactions to this, not the least of which is the fact that I consider prescriptions should not have to be collected by the infirm. I laud the efforts invested in helping the lady, however that does not excuse other failings; It is like watching a drug dealer helping a little girl across the road, such Redeeming Qualities. The other point is that we are watching the involvement of two human beings in each other, and that is something that I enjoy, as it displays the underlying Love that still exists in The World. If it were myself in that shop, I would be making arrangements to carry the prescriptions to the vehicle, rather than make the lady struggle in and out. Did you want a straight answer? ::15:

The question must be asked if the taxi company s insurance would pay out of an accident occurred on the pavement. Whilst it seems that this taxi driver is being helpful it is still an abuse of the pavement. How did the old lady get to the chemist in the first place.... was that aided?
This is an unusual one I must say as the reason for parking on the pavement is compassionate but none the less illegal. But for the first time I can honestly say that this pavement pirate did this not as an act of selfishness. ::1:

So the taxi driver was not being paid then?
There is enough room there for a proper Parking space to be provided for just such occasions, or would that not be financially viable?

Accesss is over a bus stop, across the front of four properties, and at a busy corner and busy road junction, with pedestrian crossing and restricted pavement at the upper side of the chemist to another pedestrian crossing. If it was as simple as a taxi driver popping into the chemist or a shop attendant going out to the taxi, then the taxi is easily parked on the bus stop (that is not an unusual occurrence in any event). If it was to be done in the manner that you consider, pedestrians and vehicles become so mixed it is asking for an accident to occur. The corner has been used for a number of premises over the years, this one is the most dangerous as far as accidents and blocked access is concerned.
