Here we have and I hope I have the names right! Mike Wildman, Pat Wildman, Derek Rowe and Terry.
Picture supplied by Pat Wildman, but I notice there are five in the picture...there is a name missing.
Getting stuck into a TeaTreat Bun and bottle of pop (possibly Eddy s?) - Sunday School Treat, I suspect and that is what the other pictures is of (by the field) waiting for the charabanc to arrive. Can you still get TeaTreat Buns, something like a Saffron bun, but it was sweeter and the top was darker and sugary. It usually was too much in one sitting and the rest was taken home in the bag for tomorrow.

Really? I learnt the art of gluttony early.
In Pendeen our tea-treat buns came from Butters of course. Moist and rich and, in my memory, enormous. Theycertainly got smaller in later years. Some bakeries stil sell Tea-treat buns but they are definitely smaller than the genuine article.
I have quite a few tea-treat photographs that my parents took in the 70s and 80s which I will get around to scanning one day. I ll have to be very selective if Iam not to bore you all stiff though.
