The one by Tredarvah Farm is a special ... it had to be fitted with internal brushes to stop the invasion of snails and slugs that had decided to add letters to their diet. I have a memory of their having been a VR somewhere in town. I also remember that there was once a box on a column .. was it in Alexandra Road. Did you know they were originally green? There is a box opposite the boating pool.
