I used to play the piano (that is all forgotten now) and the guitar - I have recently bought another, not having played for 40 years, to try and get back to the music.
go for it, one of the best things I ever did, bin giging tonight, I enjoy it and get paid for it, all joking aside music is the best thing I know for any probs etc. and if you can play something it s an added bonus.
I originally studied the Ivor Mairants jazz style. It is a matter of getting those fingers supple again after going through 6 years of fighting arthritis.
Love jazz but don t play a lot of it s mainly rock, pop, middle of the road etc. A few friends of mine play jazz guitar and I go green, but then it s only what you apply yourself to I suppose. I ve had a blast over the years and been very lucky to do what I have.
Yes I was playing tonight and feel very lucky to be able to, and I do agree that any illness is not easy. Sorry if you thought I was Flippant I wasn t please me.
