Fascinating piece of fringe engineering; just goes to show what our dock engineers can do. The heritage of our earlier ship builders has been passed down. I was interested as to how the ship was stayed whilst the laterals were changed from the old hull to the new exohull, a very careful changeover, I have no doubt.
I have to say our dock engineers were polish, they drafted about 20 of them in to work 24/7, our boys didn t do much to the second skin! They did paint it!!
Either way, the Dockyard knew what had to be done, and got the job done using the workforce that was needed. Poland - another of my favourite countries. Pienkne.
Lets face it they are well known for the work they do in dockyards, and they do do a good job, in fact, dare I say it sometimes they run rings around our guys!! I must admit tho they they have no respect for the equipment that they work with, but they get the job done.
