Egremont

More inside.
What s the story about this boat. Is it a floating conference room or has it a purpose. It is completely gutted

I have placed some notes on another of the pictures, but she is a floating club at Salcombe - launched 1951, in service from 1952 until 1975 on the Mersey ... have a look - I am trying to find out something on her original motors, as she has none as far as I know.

Wow, why then is she down this way for a refit. Liverpool is one huge dock area... is she owned by locals now?

Built in Dartmouth, she was bought by the Yacht club and training centre at Salcombe in 1976 and she is sent in for works every five years or so (towed); she is currently going through some more intensive work; work is shared, Penzance saw her about 2006 last.

Fitted in 1951 with Crossley Multi-Speed Engines. Whilst waiting for sale at Birkenhead (1976), her hull sprang a leak, and flooded the engines, and they were removed prior to her sale and removal to Salcombe.
