cars of character.
Someone help me out here... This isn t a Rover as I thought on the previous picture. Is it an Alvin? ::1:

Could be an Alvis, or the other that Treeve is thinking of is an Armstrong siddley Sapphire.

That s the one ... what i know about cars can be inscribed on the back of a postage stamp; I do remember though a Humber Super Snipe, there was a deep maroon one here, the wheel guards were impressive. Then there was the Triumph Herald, a full chassis, not the moulded shell of today ...

Had a Herald, brill little car, I ve had a lot of cars over the years and I wish I had a photo of every one, at the last count it was over thirty!

I still warm to the Zodiac and the Zephyr. I had a Ford Cortina mark 1 with a Lotus engine...... My first car, and last for a while .... I crashed it!

So you have had a car for every year of your life? I remember a Hillman Minx, a neat design. My boss in Helston in the 1950s had a big car an Austin A40, I think, ran as smooth as silk, like a Bentley.

Thank you kind Sir!! I keep saying I m going to make a list. Ref. our conversation about documenting things I think it won t be far away. Pokerboy I liked those as well but never had either of them, always wanted a Lotus Cortina , did have corsair, cambridge, amongst many.

Hey Treve... I had the Hillman super minx... that was a good car... two tone estate... I ll look for a picture of it.
