Seen at St Ives, this house name means 'STONE/ROCK OF THE SEA' in Cornish but I can't help thinking that the name is a bit meaningless unless it has been chosen to be read as 'MEN AN'[D] MOR[E]'. I wonder who lives there. That might provide a clue! Perhaps a group of men wishing to attract a bevvy of ladies? Or a half English-half Cornish name signifying 'men' of the sea perhaps [SEAMEN].
