Tell was a colourful character of the town indeed. He was one of three vocalists that started out with the Layabouts. Later he turned his attention to singing standard Cornish folk songs, performing at many local venues and having a residency at the Admiral Benbow. Sadly, he passed on some time ago, perhaps in the early nineties and he was buried with his trusty guitar. I was long ago given this postcard by his widow Jean. Two of the front walls in Barwis Hill/Tce are his simulated white stone cement work.
