Small lake, presumably a mining relic, about two hundred yards from the Tregeseal Stone Circle. There minnows to be found inhabiting it, and lily pads, and so presumably, it is not totally poisonous.
A lovely set of photos tpp. The abundance of wildlife is interesting too. I have a friend (won t namedrop here) who has outstanding knowledge in this field and may/or may not have answers has to how minnows may have inhabited the pond. I will drop him an e-mail.
Excellent - I would be more than interested in just how such small fish came to be in a pool, formed in a glacial depression, on an area of granite hundreds of feet above sea level, not like salmon fighting against the demon flow and rapids, is it?
Yes, but hurricanes pick up fish from freshwater just as easily as from the sea and it might have whirled over from the American continent or have done a tour of reservoirs! I know I am talking twaddle! laugh#
There are lots of possibilities as to where they came from and how they got there. Who knows they may be their own sub-species. Or is this what is left of the Minnowan Empire read#
