Looking across the meadow beyond the ha-ha to Mount Misery and Mount's Bay.
According to Richard Gendall the Cornish songwriter, Mount Misery was the highpoint above Newlyn harnour where the womenfolk would scan the horizon in days of yore and desperately hope ::4:for the return of their fishermen husbands to Mount's Bay after stormy weather. Was this fact or a romantic theme for a folksong?
 
'Harnour'? It's Cornish for half past the hour, Newlyn time! You'll get it dreckly!
