Not exactly bounteous nor a treasure, but it is here, and it shows great imagination and flair, provided it was a horse trough that was needed. The fact is that this was a clear day but I am unsure that I could see forever.
I suppose this trough could be seen as an attempted step in the right direction, misguided though it may be. I d agree wholeheartedly with your previous comment about the restoration of the town s old water shoots being a more worthwhile project.
I look forward to more projects around town, I look forward to owners being assisted in the restoration and care of the buildings ... our town environment; it is a heavy burden, I know, to own a building that has history and importance. But owners should not be left to their own devices and allowing such neglect. My real grouse about this fountain is that it is so hidden around the corner. Not enough made of it. It is here, continuing the tradition of the shoots at the lower edge of the old market.
