Strollin ...
These two swans, calmy walked out of the water's edge at Lariggan, trudged up the steep shingle beach, along the footpath by Bolitho Gardens, and then headed across the road to the Boating Pool; I did not take pictures as they crossed as I, with others, were in the middle of the road watching the traffic; in a
peculiar way, I could see that the swans were quite accustomed to being guided across the road, the cob seemed to wait for me to say 'C'mon' and the pen followed as he started to move. They lumbered across the road without an apparent care. Please do drive carefully across the section of road at Lariggan, by Lidls and the Boating Pool, and if you are on foot, please watch traffic; this is an intermittent occurrence mornings and evenings to and from the Pool. The cob has a damaged foot, and so is slow walking, the pen follows just behind him. 6th February 2009.
